Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated 25 years of continuous public service on Wednesday with an address at the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’ in New Delhi. Reflecting on his journey, which began when he took office as Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, Modi expressed gratitude to the citizens and party workers who have supported him, emphasizing their role in his political career.
During his speech, Modi acknowledged the influence of both supporters and critics, stating that they have each contributed to his personal and political growth. “Those who brought me down taught me how to rise again,” he remarked, highlighting how critics have encouraged him to reflect and learn from challenges, while supporters have offered encouragement.
Modi reiterated his vision for a developed India by 2047, stressing the importance of collective efforts and self-reliance to achieve this goal. He urged citizens to contribute to making India one of the world’s three largest economies, underlining the significance of collaborative work in national development.
The Prime Minister extended his gratitude towards the citizens for their trust and recognized the dedication of BJP workers and others who have supported his journey. He referred to the people as his greatest strength, likening them to a divine presence, and emphasized the importance of serving humanity and working together to advance the country.
Modi also shared his continuous passion for learning, recalling his school days in Vadnagar and maintaining that he still considers himself a student. This eagerness to learn, he noted, has been a consistent aspect of his life and career.
Highlighting India’s advancements in aviation, Modi mentioned the bravery of Indian pilot Smit Machchhar during a flydubai flight incident and expressed optimism about India’s future in aircraft manufacturing. He concluded his address by calling for sustained collective efforts to realize India’s development goals and build a self-reliant nation by 2047.
